Cookies and tracking on this website

Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use two kinds.

  • Essential cookies: WordPress and our site builder use these to make the site work and to stop spam on our forms. They do not need consent.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies: we load these through Google Tag Manager. They include Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel. They show us which pages people visit and let us measure and retarget our ads. We only set them if you accept them in our cookie banner.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through our cookie banner settings, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Our site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which passes your IP address to Google so the fonts can display.

LinkedIn and Meta advertising

We run ads on LinkedIn and on Meta platforms. When you see or click our ads, those platforms process your data under their own privacy policies. They give us aggregated reports, such as the number of clicks, and do not identify you to us.

If you submit a lead form inside LinkedIn or Meta, the platform sends us the details you chose to share, such as your name, email, job title and company. We use them to reply to your request and to follow up about our services. You can ask us to stop at any time.

How we contact businesses

We sometimes email or message people at companies we think could use our services. We only use work contact details: name, job title, company and work email address.

  • We find these details on company websites, professional networks such as LinkedIn, and B2B data providers.
  • We keep messages relevant to your role and include a way to opt out in every email.
  • If you opt out, we add your address to a suppression list so we never contact you again. We keep only the details needed to honour that request.

Data we handle for our clients

Our clients sometimes give us access to their analytics, search console or website systems. Any personal data in those systems belongs to the client. We process it only on their instructions and under our client agreement. If you are a customer of one of our clients, please contact that business about your data.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business:

  • Google Workspace (email and documents)
  • Bluehost (website hosting)
  • Google (Tag Manager, Fonts, Analytics and Ads), Meta and LinkedIn (advertising and measurement)
  • Smartlead (business email outreach)
  • Our accountant and bank (billing and tax)

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, for example to Revenue or in response to a court order.

International transfers

Some of our providers store data outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.

How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries that do not become clients: 24 months from our last contact
  • Client and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the financial year, for tax purposes
  • Business outreach contacts: 12 months from our last message, unless you reply
  • Opt-out and suppression records: for as long as we send outreach, so we can respect your choice
  • Cookie data: see the retention periods in our cookie banner

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • get a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your data
  • ask us to restrict how we use your data
  • receive your data in a portable format
  • object to our use of your data, including for direct marketing
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing

Email info@rankdough.com to use any of these rights. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

How to complain

Please contact us first so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission:

If you live in another EU country or in the UK, you can also contact your local data protection authority.
